Friga
the Norse mother goddess and the wife of Odin (Woden). One of the most important goddesses of Germanic religion, she was queen of the heavens, a deity of love and the household.
Just a little testbot hacked together this weekend based on mini.Wodan with some additional stuff to handle WaveSurfer bots a bit better.
- v0.00 is the baseline: mini.Wodan movement and the mini.Wodan GF-gun with 30% more GF-segments + faster learning
- v0.01z uses a random linear targetting gun

- Averaging will not help as the letters correspond to, sometimes slightly, different versions. Versions c,d,e use additional statistics to determine the optimal GF. I dont want to use techniques like searching for local or global minima in the GF-bins as this will perform worse against non-WaveSurfing bots. The GF-gun has to remain as simple and general as possible. I have published additional data over 500 rounds. The results are not impressive, but versions c,d,e perform slightly better than a normal GF-gun or random linear aim. Main problem is my movement is much, much worse than that of my WaveSurfing opponents. My gun doesn't get the time to learn...So i will now probably focus on a better movement first. -- Loki

- Hi Vic, may i keep this a secret until i have time to develop it a bit further? I can tel it's based on statistics as i want it to work equally well with other type of movements. I don't like a "if(wavesurfer) {} else {}" type of construction and want a 'general' gun. --Loki
