Ray Vermette

A programmer/analyst with seven years of experience, most of it programming COBOL (ugg!) for large IBM mainframes (ugg ugg!). I have done some Java work and have taken several courses on the subject, but I didn't really become fluent in the language until I stumbled onto Robocode.

I have written five robots: RayBot, One, TheArtOfWar, HumblePie, and HumblePieLite. I am taking a bit of a break from Robocode competition as I focus on other things - work, four continuing education courses, [plans for a cross-Canada bicycle trip], and [inline skating], but I try to keep up with new developments and help out beginners at the [AlphaWorks Robocode Forum] when I can.
