What's special about it?

The first robot I developed on my own. Previously I had only developed Sigterm as part of a group. Happens to be a minibot too.

Great, I want to try it. Where can I download it?

https://www.robocoderepository.com/BotDetail.jsp?id=2378

How competitive is it?

Not at all. Do I care? Not at all. I can't be bothered optimising a minibot where it's so restricted by codesize. All my creative ideas need lots of code.

How does it move?

Cannibalistic antigravity movement. It's not really antigravity, but it's calculated the same way.

How does it fire?

Random targeting.

How does it dodge bullets?

Luck.

How does the melee strategy differ from one-on-one strategy?

It's better as a one on one bot, and tends to get creamed in melee. It tends to get creamed in one on one, too, but for different reasons. Targeting and movement in melee focus on one bot for a period of time, so it fights a melee as lots of little one on ones with different bots.

How does it select a target to attack/avoid in melee?

When a target is scanned, it holds it as the movement/targeting target for a specified number of ticks. Then it does it again with the target it scanned last. And again. And again. And so on until it dies.

What does it save between rounds and matches?

Nothing.

Where did you get the name?

Sigterm is a bot that I'm developing as a team. Sigterm is the UNIX "please die nicely" interprocess signal, so I chose Sighup (signal hang up) for my first one. Expect the other Sigs to follow later. (See https://www.cybermagician.co.uk/technet/unixsignals.htm).

Can I use your code?

Goodness knows why you'd want to, but yes. Just give credit.

What's next for your robot?

Better movement (a bit more random), better targeting (either PatternMatching or GuessFactor).

Does it have any WhiteWhales?

Come on, I only wrote it yesterday and polished it up today! I don't have any yet!

What other robot(s) is it based on?

None. All new (except for the ideas).
